Last week was my son’s spring break. We had a great time traveling, skiing, dining at some wonderful restaurants, and not sleeping in…
My son only sleeps in on school days it seems. Vacations are for waking up early and staying up late… and being a crab cake (aka grumpy).
This morning we found the tiniest baby rabbit in our backyard. She was adorable and she was not that scared of us either. I’m headed to the pet store later today to get some rabbit food that we can sprinkle around our yard a bit to help her and her siblings and mom and dad (who were doing the “let’s make more babies dance” together yesterday morning)
Spring is in the air, and as a result my allergies are raging. I feel like every year I say “these are the worst my allergies have ever been”. But seriously I feel like this year it is particularly bad.
In other news my writer’s group Queer and Affirming Writers Collective just launched their own Substack account. I am managing the publication schedule for the Substack and the founder Mike’s piece went live yesterday morning. Be sure to check it out. We are looking at a weekly publication schedule that will highlight pieces from the writers in our group. Next week is Melissa Jackson’s piece, which you definitely don’t want to miss!
The season are shifting for Andor and Lilli. It’s the end of spring and as their adventure continues they are looking forward to a summer in their new home. A new character is introduced in this week’s chapter publication too. As the first book, Aiōn draws closer to its conclusion the ground work for the following books in the saga are being laid. If you’re still trying to catch up with the 26 previous chapters there are three more left in Aiōn… So, you have some time.
