Last year we ticked off the bucket-list RV trip of traveling a good portion of the Trans Canada Highway. We went from Niagara Falls to just east of Vancouver, BC. The next must-do trip was heading down the coast of Washington, Oregon, and Northern California.

We started by heading south along the Hood River Canal before cutting west towards the ocean.
On day three I went for a gravel bike ride in Yachats, OR. About half-way through I was pretty far up in the hills on a nicely graded gravel road when I spooked a very large mountain lion. It was much too close for comfort — so, I decided to turn around a bit early.
Today we are pushing on to Lassen Volcanic National Park and then on to the wetlands of the Eastern Bay Area.
Housekeeping
I’ve been reading a few good books on this trip:
THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RIVER by Dr. Joe Tafur
SURFING THE HIMALAYAS by Frederick Lenz
THIS IS IT by Alan Watts
I’ll probably end up doing a book review on the Alan Watt’s book. It’s profound, deeply insightful, and eerily prophetic (in that he warned about the current shitstorm being perpetrated by Republicans in our country 65 plus years before it happened).
Also, my piece “Hookless” was published on Monday at the QAWC Substack.

Been slow on the Wormwood Saga front the last few weeks (although I did do some heavy editing on the previously published chapters). Even with relatively short days of 150-180 miles there just isn’t enough time to write between tearing down camp, driving south, seeing the sights, and setting up camp. Perhaps when we get to the Bay Area and I have several days of being in one spot I’ll get some more writing in.
Looks Amazing Isaac! Miss you brother, hope your having a good Time!
